2010 has definitely been our best year to date. Some massive line ups, debutants and international Djs have graced the ES turntables. Moving the headliners downstairs has helped a lot, especially with the crowd interaction and no one will dispute me when I say Gina Starr from Toolroom and Activa certainly knew how to smash it last weekend!! watch out for more of them on board next year!
November sees another debutant on the boat in the shape of JUAN KIDD. We are delighted to secure this booking as he performed a cracking set for us at Plastic Fondu’s second birthday in the bar at Ministry of Sound last November. Fitting then that he should come back and perform for us a year on.
PUB PRICES, NO LONG TOILET OR BAR QUEUES, THE BEST VIEW OF LONDON POSSIBLE FROM THE RIVER LISTENING TO THE BEST MUSIC!!
Afterparty @ Ministry Of Sound with FEDDE LE GRANDE

2009 was Juan Kidd’s (Jason Herd) launch pad having one of the biggest tracks of the year and a Number One on Beatport for four weeks with Juan Kidd & Felix Baumgartner Feat Lisa Millett “Now Your Gone” on Defected, four top20 Beatport hits on Steve Angello’s Size, Erick Morillo’s Subliminal and CR2. As if that wasn’t enough he also had a number one DJ Mix Album and Single with One Love Australia.
His Bootleg of Faithless “We Come One” got the full approval of Sister Bliss and was one of the biggest tracks in Ibiza being played every week by the Swedish House Mafia, Pete Tong, Carl Cox and of course Faithless Sound System themselves.
There’s one phrase that describes Juan Kidd’s music and that is simple quality House Music. From deep soulful to tribal to main room techy tinged house not shy of a few vocals and you can hear all these in his forthcoming artist album due out in Summer 2010 with vocals from Lisa Millett, Jocelyn Brown, Rae plus many more.
Next up is his release on Defected, Juan Kidd & Stafford Brothers Feat Rae “I Gave You Everything” which is sure to follow in the footsteps of “Now Your Gone” and be his next vocal anthem.
Already a firm favourite with Subliminal Sessions at Pacha in Ibiza, Stereosonic and One Love Australia, Filth @ Mint UK, Toolroom Knights and Matter, Juan Kidd’s DJing is making him one of the hottest DJ and Producers around and now he’s almost finished his album he is going to be opening his diary for 2010.
Expect a DJ set different to most others as Juan believes his pre gig edits make his music exclusive and special to his style with layers of acapellas and fx. This is his ES debut and one he is very much looking forward too!
Joining Juan on board will be Brighton Duo Altobelli and Quanta who will be showcasing there tech sound alongside a regular from 2010 Richie C, and debutants HangTheDj + Adam Pique, ELECTROsaints from Flex fm & Dun & Dusted. The other deck will be a nice blend of Melodic, Progressive and House beats with an old favourite in Tom Harwood, who played at the very first ES! he will be joined by birthday boy Nick Pietrzek an ES regular in Robin Thurston and a duo that have regularly this year performed so well for us Michael St James. With the coldness setting in, Novembers parties are usually up there with the best of the year due to the amazing atmosphere the Djs generate inside!
See you there!
