I’ve got to be honest. Out of all the labels whose tunes I get sent Digitized are probably the label whose tracks I look forward to the most. Suiting my preferred style; Trance with a bit of bollocks as I like to call it.
Their latest release by label debutant Tasso has two original tracks; Savoy a big room Trance track and Lethargic Altercation which is heads down Tech Trance.
Savoy
A rolling bassline and almost Psy Trance like squelches get this going until the break which is lovely strings and pads. If you like long breakdowns this is certainly for you, for me, just about within my limits. The riff itself is good and carries the tune to a splendidly chugging last section of the track that is proper heads down stuff.
I like.
Lethargic Altercation
This one is a lesson in how to make a good tune without it having to do loads. It is essentially a big groove with a longish break that teases vocal samples from a couple of movies you’ll likely recognise.
To some this would be a filler track but on a dance floor populated by those who like their Trance with plenty of Tech, I can see this going down really well indeed.
