Label: Magic Beans
Format: 12" Vinyl
Genre: Trance

The second release from Magic Beans sees the stand-out track from their first EP given it's own proper release with a makeover from one of the producers from their stable of talent (for anyone who missed my original review of the first EP you can check it out HERE).

First up is the Original Mix which has been doing the damage on many a trance dancefloor including at the end of one legendary night at Gods Kitchen by John 00 Flemming. It's an exceptional piece of driving trance, with non-cheesy melodies to the fore and hints of both progressive and psychadelic trance throughout. It reminds me of those first trance tunes from before the 98-99 glory days, where the music hadn't become formulaic or a charachature of itself - beautifully constructed and produced with that real euphoric hit.

The new Tequila remix on the flip takes the blueprint of the Original Mix and gives it a 303 rocket up it's backside, and what a result! Within seconds of hearing this version at Edition I was asking what it was and who it was by, and when I got my hands on a copy I couldn't wait to play it, and from the reaction in the trance room at Heat v Logic when I dropped it it's going to be big Smile All of the euphoric and melodic elements of the Original are kept intact, but there is more power with the 303 acid-line and stabby plucks runing through the track giving it real drive.

This is without doubt a great tune and will I'm sure be finding it's way into many of the big league DJs boxes soon, so hunt it out now while it's still relatively unknown Thumbs up

The original rocks and the remix is even better, can't wait to get it when it's released. Thumbs up
