DMF & Marc Johnson

» Jam Busta

Reviewed by Tim Priestley / Submitted 09-03-03 20:04

Label: Babydoll
Format: 12" Vinyl
Genre: Hard House

In a period where the market is literally saturated with hard trance, a good hard house record is becoming increasingly hard to find...in 'Jam Busta' one has been found. DMF (of 'Full Metal' fame) teams up with Marc Johnson on this one and the result is (for me) the best hard house track I've heard in a while. A full bassline coupled with a 303 riff drives the track along nicely, and coupled with some wicked hard stabs gets you sweating before the break even arrives! The peak of the track is full of energy, 2 main riffs which complement each other perfectly, coupled with simple yet effective key changes. This is not the busiest track I have ever heard but is a perfect example of how keeping things relatively simple can be massively effective. More like this please!
