The Rogue Element is ready to rock for March 1st ..!
2006 Breakspoll winner of best breakthrough producer, ex-bandmate of King Roc, and all round dancefloor destroyer Ben Medcalf is DirtyGroove's March guest. This man practically re-designed breakbeat music in 2006. His productions are massive, filthy, and rockin', and have won awards everywhere. Almost every release of Ben's these days goes straight to no. 1 in the breaks charts. As our first proper breaks headliner - we're looking forward to introducing him to you guys.
The Rogue Element’s Influences include anything he thinks he can get away with stealing - more rock from his murky past than he is comfortable with admitting, plus numerous contemporary dance artists like the Plumps, Freq Nasty and (inevitably) The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers and Leftfield.
There’ll also be some serious filthy dirty house beats courtesy of Dirtygroove residents Helen Joyce & Tom Allan.
