LOST DAWN returns on Saturday 26th March with the first of our ‘Boutique’ events. This is Lost Dawn’s unique brand of music to the intimate surroundings of new venue THE RAVING BUDDHA in London’s Shepherds Bush.
2011 will be an exciting year for Lost Dawn as we diversify our events and bring you a host of smaller parties - for that intimate vibe and up close action with our guest DJ’s. West Londons’ hottest new venue Raving Buddha will be our home for a DJ competition on the 24th February and first Lost Dawn event of 2011 on 26th March - called ‘Boutique’.
Our ‘Boutique’ headline act is master producer and DJ of Global Underground fame STU HIRST. After a successful NYE gig for GU in Singapore Stu brings his brand of uplifting progressive madness to Lost Dawn. DJ, Producer, Remixer and Label Owner Stu has firmly established himself as one of the UK's most exciting talents, with over 20 underground hits on such labels as Subversive, Distinctive and Plastic Fantastic. He also produced one of Pete Tong’s favourite tracks "Rhythmique", which also featured in Steve Lawler's Lights Out CD Compilation series, released on Global Underground.
Stu runs his own digital label, Strawberry Blonde, whose artist roster includes talents Livio & Roby, Chuck Lepley, Murray Richardson and Tim Andresen, as well as aloowing him to release under his "Rockstaar" guise. The label's first release, "Choral" climbed to number 5 in the USA Balance Promote Chart. Stu also presents the Strawberry Blonde show on leading electronic radio station Proton Radio.
Having shown his skills at clubs including Space in Ibiza, Global Club in Lithuania, Amsterdam Dance Conference, La Mania (Romania), Privilege (Ibiza), Nautilus (Latvia), Gravity (Lithuania), Ministry Of Sound, The Cross, Heaven, Colours and Storm we finally welcome him warmly to Lost Dawn and the Raving Buddha.
KITES star Richard Baldwin aka Stakker has been a lifelong devotee of electronica. He has played at, and promoted events showcasing many dance genres but more recently has been co-writing and producing tracks with upcoming Indie/Electro band, KITES. Since the band's first gig 8 months ago, Richard has enjoyed a hectic schedule, playing keyboards with the band at over 40 gigs across the UK. From this colourful background, Richard spins the kind of sounds that have in turn come to influence KITES' sound, expect something different...ItaloDisco, Electro, Synthpop, Acid and Proto-House
‘Boutique’ also sees the first officially installed set from our new resident TOM GALLAGHER. Having produced some stand-out sets for us in 2010 we wanted this new young talent to pioneer our sound with his sense of smooth tech house produced from his myriad of live performance technology. Expect original samples and slices from this future hero.
Our main residents ADAM SYMBIOSIS and CRAIG GUNN will be also spinning their popular uplifting beats. Adam with his trademark bouncy sets of vocal blissed out driving trance and electro Craig’s progressive disco diva style going into overdrive as he celebrates his birthday with us. Expect cake and more…..
Our ARTS curator ELLIE HAWKINS will also be in attendance overseeing original projections for our screen, live art and magic from the ever memorable SAM COOKNEY.
We will also be featuring our 2011 DJ Competition Winner so come lend your support to this truly eclectic night out in Shepherd’s Bush. 26th March 2011 is a date your should firmly fix in your calendar now…..Lost Dawn….Find Yours…..
