Markus Buhmann joins us again after first playing for Becomeone in January. Markus has had a phenomenal year since we last welcomed him to the decks, gaining a residency at Zoology and entertaining the Ohm crowd on a monthly basis. Frantic, Chemical Reaction, Addiction, One and Oblivion have all been successfully Buhmannated, and Markus has started to take things to a new level with production work on new tunes Neon and Stimulus:Response as part of writing team Griffiths and Buhmann. For those of you that haven't caught him playing out this year, expect chunky tech beats and lashings of uplifting prog.
Tim Davison is going to burn off his excessive Chistmas turkey consumption with a prog workout. Tim's been doing some great production work, and his first release is set for late March on Feed Me Records (www.feedmerecords.com) with a remix from Paul Rogers, who has had releases on Global Underground compilations by Nick Warren and Deep Dish. Tim will be looking forward to a frankly huge gig at The Gallery on the 18th Feb, which features three of dance music's biggest jocks - James Zabiela, Hybrid and Eddie Haliwell. We've got our best knickers out ready to throw at him.
After a short break for our January house party, Oliver Leighs returns to help us back into our trance trousers. Oliver has been hard at work producing both his own tracks and collaborations with Pandora S-K. We're also looking forward to his second future collaboration with trance legend Ian Betts after the great reactions of their first single 'Galaxy Nine'. Oliver is dusting off his trance classics to play a classic trance set at Peach Goes Hard at the Scala this Saturday, and is booked to play the Tasty House of Fun at the Mass in Brixton during March.
One of the DJs to watch in 2005, we are proud to welcome back to becomeone Pandora S-K. Pandora's productions have graced the labels of Phoenix Uprising and ID&T, and have been supported by the likes of Jon the Dentist, Graham Gold and Lisa Pinup. One of the busiest DJs on the scene currently, she played a storming set at Club Syn in Denver towards the end of last year, and she has upcoming gigs lined up at Ultra Utopia, Tasty House of Fun, Basic, Spangulation and Matt Hardwick's Inspiration Charity Event! She has also been busy at work in the studio this year working on productions with Oliver Leighs and they are set to unleash some trance monsters on the scene soon. Expect euphoric breakdowns, subtle melodies and amazing energy from this energetic and inspirational DJ.
On the back of huge bookings at Slinky, Knowhere and Airwave we have trance starlet Starlet (a.k.a. Lizzie Curious) finishing the night off in style. 2005 looks a promising year with fresh production in the form of her tune with Anthony Dean "In A Trance" - which was featured on Dave Pearce's New Dance Talent CD of up and coming artists given away with the Sunday Star. A vocal version with lyrics and vocals by Starlet herself has just been finished and is already attracting plenty of attention from trance lovers. Upcoming gigs include Zoology, Essential and a return to Airwave.
