Music Style: | Pumping Hard House | From: | Hampshire, England | Date of birth: | 17/02/76 | Residencies: | Qwench & Sunday School | Bookings Contact: | Carl on 07957 355 714 | No. of records: | Produced 4 / Own 6000 approx. | Started playing: | 1991 | All time top 3 tunes: | It would take me far too long to seriously answer this question...there are just to many tunes!! | Website: | www.qwench.co.uk | Worst DJing moment: | Somebody collapsed during a set | Would most like to play: | Liquid Rooms, Tokyo | Most enjoyable set you've played: | I enjoy every set I play, but my greatest moment was playing with Karim and RR Fierce at Qwench | When you're not DJing you're: | Drinking, eating, toking, producing and generally chilling out with friends | Favourite DJ: | The late Tony de Vit (RIP) | Favourite Venue: | Club UK | Favourite Promotion: | Final Frontier | Favourite Producer: | RR Fierce (RIP) | Favourite Label: | I have many labels that I like such as Tidy Trax, Vicous Circle, Titchy Bitch, Trade Rec, Do Not Bend, Fierce Teknik Rec, but there are also alot of white and obscure labels such as Shift Rec. which I really like to, purely as they give you more originality in your sets as hopefully not every Tom, Dick and Harry will have a copy. I also really enjoy searching for vinyls, and then finding one you really like...it gives you an overwhelming feeling of satisfaction!! | Biggest Influence: | Well, I would have to say that my influences really came in the old days with the likes of Tony de Vit, Pete Wardman, Carl Cox, Billy Nasty and many more to old to mention. | Drink: | Yes Please
What would you like: Jack Daniels & coke | Non-music pastime: | This, that and some of the other... | Words of wisdom: | Don't Worry, be Happy..! | Other Comments: | The scene has changed so much over the past decade, and musical flavours have come and gone. But one thing I think would like to see is more good tunes being produced and released. The Hard House scene is ALIVE, it's just become saturated with crap tunes and people trying to make a quick buck. If the club scene is to survive and prosper, we need people to think more about what they are buying. So in a nutshell, if it's shit, DON'T but it...Buy it because YOU like it!! |
